Abstract Submission Guidelines
Please note that by submitting an abstract for an oral communication or a poster presentation, the author automatically agrees to the submission guidelines, including:
- The use of the online abstract submission form is mandatory: https://coms.app/ifscc2027/welcome.html
- The abstract should briefly state the research problem or objective and provide some scientific context. Summarise the key methods used and the main results or findings of the study. Finally, state the significance or implications of the results and highlight the study’s contribution to the field. The abstract should be written in a way that is accessible to scientists outside of the specific research field.
- Abstracts should be written in English only.
- The abstract should not exceed 300 words. Title, authors, and affiliations may be excluded from word count.
- No tables, figures, or pictures may be included in the abstract.
- No additional annexes, references, or citations are allowed.
- Abstract, paper, poster and presentation should not contain any trade or commercial names => any mention of commercial names or in the text will result in immediate disqualification.
- Please ensure that your work has not been previously published, submitted for publication or submitted to any other conference or congress. The author declares the novelty of the study.
- Any work that is related to animal testing will be disqualified.
- Ensure that all authors who contributed to the work are included and that the authors’ names and author order are complete and correct. You must identify a presenting author (option available on submission form).
- Registration of the presenting author to attend the congress and submission of a full paper after the abstract acceptance is mandatory.
- Authors registered may present up to 3 posters or 2 posters & 1 podium.
- The author automatically gives the right to the Congress organizing Committee to save their full paper in the proceedings of the congress and make it available on the website or the app to the Congress Attendees. After one year, the papers will be uploaded to the IFSCC Archives, and so becomes available to all IFSCC members. This publication in the proceedings does not create anteriority for further scientific publication in another peer reviewed journal
- The authors awarded one of the 4 IFSCC awards (Best Fundamental Research Podium, Best Applied Research Podium, Best Fundamental Research Poster and Best Applied Research Poster) will have their full paper published in the IFSCC Magazine.
- Abstracts should not be submitted to this congress if you do not agree with the specific terms and conditions outlined above and within the submission process.
- All abstracts must be submitted electronically by this website. Emailed abstracts will not be accepted.
- The author declares that this work was completed independently and without unauthorized assistance, and that all data and results are reported accurately and truthfully.
- The author(s) confirm the originality of their work. If a significant amount of the work (including images) has been created using generative AI, this must be indicated in accordance with standard citation guidelines, in the interests of transparency.
- The allotted presentation time for each podium is 20 minutes – no extension will be granted. We recommend that speakers allow 15 minutes for presentation, and 5 minutes for questions, as this is an important point in the awards jury’s evaluation.
- Full Paper: the full paper should respect the guidance available in the template
- The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reassign submissions to podium or poster.
- Any research involving human subjects, materials or data must conform to the ethical principles for medical research as stated in the Declaration of Helsinki, if this is applicable, adhere to local law and regulations, or at least have been approved by the local ethics committee or an institutional review board.
