Session Topics

Unlocking Innovative Formulations

This session focuses on the science and technology behind advanced cosmetic formulations. Topics include formulation strategies, ingredient interactions, rheology, stability, and performance optimization. Contributions on sun care formulation challenges, novel delivery systems, encapsulation technologies, and analytical methods for formulation characterization are highly encouraged.

Unlocking Skin Science

Dedicated to the biology and physiology of skin, this topic covers mechanisms of skin aging, barrier function, hydration, photoprotection, microbiome interactions, and pigmentation. Research on active ingredient efficacy, and molecular approaches to skin health will be central themes.

Unlocking Hair Science

This topic addresses the structural and biochemical properties of hair and scalp. Areas of interest include hair fiber damage and repair, scalp microbiome, hair growth regulation, and diversity in hair types. Studies on innovative treatments, performance evaluation, and mechanistic insights into hair care are welcome.

Unlocking Digital and Technology Solutions / Testing Models

This track explores how digitalization and advanced technologies are shaping cosmetic science. Topics include AI-driven formulation design, biotechnology, in-silico simulations, and high-throughput screening. Novel in-vitro, ex-vivo, and computational models for efficacy and safety testing as well as validating sunscreen performance are also key areas.

Unlocking Diversity

This session emphasizes biodiversity and inclusivity in cosmetic research. Contributions may address sustainable sourcing of botanical actives, biodiversity-driven innovation, and solutions tailored to diverse skin tones, phototypes and hair types. Research on cultural and physiological variability in product performance is encouraged.

Unlocking Emotions

Focusing on the sensory and psychological dimensions of cosmetics, this topic covers fragrance chemistry, color science, texture design, and neurocosmetic approaches. Studies linking sensory perception to emotional well-being, quality of life, and consumer experience are particularly relevant.

About the congress motto

“Unlock around the clock, cosmetics for a diverse world”

A diverse world with its multiculturalism, the demand of new generations and the diversity of different skin and hair types offers amazing opportunities to grow. The modern society looks for science that connects research and emotion, released by the scientific teams around the world, all the time, around the clock.

The 4-day congress programme will dig into the latest research of all cosmetic disciplines and bring together the international community of cosmetic scientists.
